Acceptable use
This page sets out what you may and may not do with Cauchy. It forms part of the conditions of service.
The data you upload
- Upload only survey data that your organisation owns or is permitted to use for this purpose. If the data came from someone else, you are responsible for following the licence it came with.
- Upload survey data only. Do not upload personal information about other people, or any file that is not survey data.
- Do not upload files designed to harm the service or other users, such as malicious software or files built to exhaust the service.
Accounts
- Each person uses their own account. Do not share your sign-in details.
- Tell us straight away at [SUPPORT ADDRESS] if you think someone else has used your account.
- Do not try to sign in as someone else, or to get an account for an organisation you do not represent.
The service
- Do not try to see, change or delete another organisation's uploads, jobs or results.
- Do not test, scan or probe the service for weaknesses without our written permission. If you find a security problem, tell us at [SUPPORT ADDRESS] and do not use or share it.
- Use the service through the portal. Do not send requests in a volume or pattern meant to slow it down or to get around its limits. The portal limits how often some actions can be repeated; those limits apply to everyone.
- Do not copy, resell or offer the service to others without a written agreement with us.
Results
- Present results for what they are. A depth reported by Cauchy is the depth to a geophysical source, not a depth to ore. Do not present it as a depth to ore, or as a finding it is not, in any statement to investors, regulators or the public.
If these rules are broken
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules, and remove data uploaded in breach of them. Where we can, we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem. [LAWYER: notice and suspension wording]
